Stunningly picturesque Varkala beach provides a relatively irenic secondary to the now commercialized Kovalam. The service of this beach is striking enough to hold your relief away, with a weeklong winding yawn of cliff and views that supply over the Peninsula Sea. A paved path runs along the length of the formation, edged by coco palms, fashionable shops, beach shacks, hotels, and visitor houses.
