The diploma sparked interest in New Zealand and overseas, with about 70% New Zealand and 30% international students completing the first course. The graduands will officially mark the end of their time at QRC at the Millennium Hotel tomorrow, along with 24 Diploma of Hospitality students.
Deputy Prime Minister and Clutha-Southland MP Bill English will attend as the official guest of honour, presenting each student with their diploma and giving the official graduation address. Based in the resort, every student in the Adventure Tourism Management course received six months' fully paid industry training with an adventure tourism business.
